Dynamic-In-situ-BalancingEquipment Reliability

Equipment Reliability

The equipment reliability process represents the integration and co-ordination of a broad range of equipment reliability activities into one process for plant personnel to evaluate important facility equipment, develop and implement long-term equipment health plans, monitor equipment performance and condition, and make continuing adjustments to preventive maintenance tasks and frequencies based on equipment operating experience.

PCMS has implemented equipment reliability improvement programmes in organisations at various stages of a facilities life cycle. However, the facilities design phase is key to setting the fundamental capability of a plant to achieve the vision of assured and predictable safe operation at high capacity factors.

Decisions made during the design phase will ultimately impact every area of operational performance.  The design phase includes the development of equipment procurement specifications and system design specifications, as well as defining operating requirements, limits, and margins.
