The PCMS Eng Group are delighted to announce the appointment of Chris Scrimshaw as Business Development Manager for Lubrication Services.

Chris is a familiar face to many in the company already, having worked as a Reliability Engineer for the Group for over a year. He was responsible for analysing vibration/oil/Stresswave data, performing machinery diagnostics and producing asset health reports as part of the Group’s global remote diagnostic service.

He will make the switch to our business development team immediately, helping to strengthen key relationships with existing clients and working closely with our oil laboratory to develop the oil, filtration and lubrication side of the business.

Chris started his career with the Royal Air Force, serving as an aircraft engineering technician for over 20 years. He then made the move to aviation technical training before beginning a career in reliability, where he’s spent the last 10 years in roles such as business development manager, senior condition monitoring engineer, technical sales engineer and, most recently, reliability engineer.

Chris’ expertise, experience and exposure to a wide range of industries means that he is perfectly placed to provide both technical and sales support.

Commenting on his new role, Chris said: “I’m looking forward to supporting our clients with their lubrication/oil needs, while also identifying and developing new opportunities to help grow the business.

“Lubrication plays a key role in machine reliability and I’ve been heavily involved in developing lubrication programmes throughout my career. I’ll be recalling on my experience and utilising the skills and knowledge of my colleagues in our oil laboratory to help organisations improve their lubrication practices.”
