On 4th January 2019, PCMS Engineering completed the acquisition of Vibrotech Reliability Services, a UK-based provider of reliability and condition monitoring services, in a move that further enhances the company’s service offering to both existing and new clients.
Vibrotech Reliability Services, based in Stokesley, Middlesbrough, provides a range of predictive maintenance services such as condition monitoring, thermography, laser alignment, balancing, vibration analysis, commissioning, oil analysis and equipment hire and sales.
The North Yorkshire company will retain its trading name and operate as an extension to PCMS Engineering’s reliability maintenance portfolio, joining VCI Consultancy, Vibration Control Ltd and PCMS Engineering as part of the PCMS Eng Group.
Vibrotech Reliability Services existing customer base will benefit from access to a wider scope of resources, enhanced support and a broader range of maintenance solutions.
Andy Chater, Managing Director of PCMS Engineering, believes the acquisition reinforces the group’s ambition to become the UK’s leading provider of reliability and condition monitoring services.
Andy said: “Vibrotech’s heritage, reputation and geographical location makes them a valuable addition to the group and brings us one step closer to achieving our goal.
“It ensures both planned and short notice ad-hoc customer requests can be fulfilled across the entire group, which is a key requirement of our growing customers base and makes us a stand out maintenance and reliability service provider.”
Barry Graham, Vibrotech General Manager, says the acquisition will benefit all parties.
Barry said: “This is a perfect fit as the group is benefiting from gaining a team of qualified engineers with over 40 years of experience in predictive maintenance, while our existing customer base now has access to a complete reliability engineering portfolio including training, products and advanced maintenance solutions.
“The acquisition also adds value to our oil analysis customers as PCMS Engineering are one of only a few companies in the UK with its own independent oil laboratory.”
The group has a central location in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, and engineers located throughout the UK.
